Testing of the lightning protection system
The lightning protection system on buildings is an interconnected internal and external protection system that reduces the probability of damage to the building due to lightning strikes. The components of the system are system parts such as grippers, drains, grounding devices, conductors, buses for potential equalization, arresters, etc.
Inspection and testing of lightning protection systems is carried out in accordance with the Technical Regulations for lightning protection systems on buildings (Official Gazette 87/2008, 33/2010).
Depending on the level of system protection, the terms of regular inspections and tests are carried out in periods of 1 to 6 years.
